Wow...It's been a while!!!

The last 9 months have been extremely busy for Thompson Springs Baptist Church. We have been through some difficult and challenging things together - a church fire, a temporary relocation, and the building of a new sanctuary. All of those events came with their own separate set of challenges, but through it all my hope is that we have grown closer and more dependent on the Lord than ever before.

I am excited about the days that lie ahead! I am excited to be able to get back to focusing on ministry, missions, and fulfilling the Great Commission! I am excited about our new sanctuary which I absolutely love and thank the Lord for! And last but of course not least, I am excited about you, the ladies of TSBC! I can't wait to see and hear what God has in store for each one of you!

October's Monthly Fellowship!

Our October ladies fellowship is shaping up to be a great one! Join us in the church fellowship hall on Tuesday, October 20th @ 7PM for a devotion, some snacks, and great fellowship with other ladies! Mrs. Denise Winder will be giving us a time, date, and location for our annual ladies Christmas party. She has graciously volunteered to host it at her house. You don't want to miss this meeting! We hope to see you there!

Believing God Bible Study

Beth Moore's Believing God Bible Study is being offered this fall at the Cleveland YMCA. This study is based on Isaiah 43:10 and explores what it means to not only believe in God, but to believe Him. The times and dates are every Friday for 11 weeks beginning on August 28th from 10:15 AM - 12:30 PM. It is being led by Virginia LaRue & Edna Polier. The cost of the book is $15.00 (checks to be made out to First Baptist Church). Childcare is being offered by the YMCA. If your schedule permits, I encourage you to attend this study! If you have any questions please leave a comment and I will get the answer to you.

Secret Sister Reveal & Gift Brunch!

The secret will be out on Saturday, August 29th! To be quite honest, I am anticipating this like a child in a candy store. The 1st year of our Secret Sister program has been amazing! We will reveal ourselves to our secret sister between 10:00 -11:30 AM! Won't it be great to find out who has been praying for you and thinking about you daily this past year. All ladies are encouraged to bring a brunch item to share with everyone along with an inexpensive gift for your Secret Sister. During this time, we will eat, have a brief devotion, and fill out forms for the 2009-2010 year. I look forward to seeing you @ 10:00 AM sharp!!
